Emmys FYC

About the client

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is an organization responsible for presenting the annual Emmy Awards for outstanding work in the field of television production. The Emmy Awards have been presented annually since 1949 and reported 12.4 million viewers for its September 2011 broadcast.

The situation

In an effort to go green and at the same time provide a cost effective method of promoting work to the attention of their colleagues and peers, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences wanted to create a password protected website where members could upload their Emmy®-entered program(s) For the Consideration of Emmy voters. This website would only be accessible to the active voting members of the Television Academy and not be accessible to the general public.

Our solution

Truelogic assigned a team of 7 resources including a project manager, PHP/Drupal developers, a graphic designer and a QA specialist for the development of this project, which consisted in 3 sub-websites:

  • Submitters
    • Video Upload
    • Video Transcoding
    • Approval Process
    • Video Preview
    • Catalogue Management
  • Television Academy Members
    • Web Responsive Design (desktop, tablet, cell phone)
